Tempura in Asakusa — classic tendon lunch

Asakusa

Went to a tempura counter in the Asakusa area. Prawn, small fish, and kakiage over rice with tare sauce. Around ¥3-4k. Small dining space, quick turnover.

Tempura places in Asakusa have a certain style — heavier tare, richer batter.

If you can sit at the counter and watch them fry, that's the best seat.

Counter seating changes the meal. Very much recommend.
